Remorse (poem)

Lay
Down on
Green spears.
The earth yearns
With evolved layers
To grow upon the length
Of fear to drain liquid forms
If only to serve its own survival.
Seep slow from my memory,
The softening of the sky
Pulls rain clouds down
Until roots grasp
On the purest
Words we
Say.

This is my first visit-- before I read a bit, just let me say:

I heard most cats come out of hiding late late at night--that's the best time to look for them--and they stay close to home, or come home after a few days. You could put socks or a t shirt that smells like you on the very edge of your property, to help the cat --cats will sometimes lie down on a t shirt or in a box that you put a t shirt in--and they have been known to stay in the box (if it is sort of hidden) until you come get them-- Also look UP, cats can stay in a tree for many days.

I was deeply moved by this poem. Some places in it I KNEW why, others I have to "feel" then a bit more. There are some stellar lines and sentiments here. You have a beautiful way with words...AND feelings.

Thanks so much Robin. This piece is actually a bit of an older piece but it was fun to share it here. You're comments always make me happy, thanks!
